A little trick if you hands start slipping get a old sanding belt off a belt sander turn it inside out, so the rough side is inside. Slip the belt over filter and squeeze tight while undoing the filter. The rough sand belt surface grips the filter ;)

    New owner, a few problems.....

If the water pump is on it's way out the temperature gauge will rise :( If you don't trust the fitted gauge, buy a separate temp gauge which you can see what degrees the water temperature actually is, not just a pointer at some lines. Saves a lot of worry my gauge used to go in the red when...

    wipers

Does your back washer & wipers work on intermittent ? This runs on a separate water pump, which would point to the front pump if the back ones go, if yo get my drift :) You could try switching the power connections around on the pumps as they just about side by side on the water tank.

    headlight help

Ah ha Ok if you replace your burnt connector I wouldn't mind betting that might fix the other side,as the wire could be the loop system and where it is burnt out might be a connector/ wire there causing the problem if you get my drift ;)

    Getting wheels off

Spin and whack is the way to go. Hit / whack the tyre at the 3 o'clock position and then turn a quarter and repeat, that way you won't be hitting your rim and damaging it. Once you get them free you should not have any more problems if you give the back of the wheel a spray with WW40 to stop...

    headlight help

Possibly. If one set of lights (passenger side) are working then it possible that the relay might be at fault pending on the type, or the wiring. In a simple basic system, the power goes from the battery to the on/off switch. When turned on the power goes through the dip switch (dips both...

    headlight help

If the relay for the passenger side is working and you only have the one relay then the problem must between the join on the relay to the the drivers side connection at the bulb. Have you tried running wires from the relay to the bulb on the drivers side?

    headlight help

Have a look at your connections on the 3 pin plug which the bulbs plug into and see if you get any power there. Check where the wires are soldered or clip on to the connection, not down the slots, often the wire is corroded or has not getting a good connection. Then check on the switch sold of...
