Good to know Elty. The ones I replaced had the rigid covers which would stop some of the crap out. These have nothing.

I fitted the front shocks I got with the procomp kit too. They haven't got covers for the shaft so water, mud and all the other nasties will sit around there and rot em out asap I reckon, so I'll look for some boots to stop that happening:thumb2

I rebuilt the front shafts a couple of weeks ago but lost a clip off the outer cv boot. I found a new replacement complete shaft on the bay for £54 delivered. Thought I'd give it a go. Looks ok so I fitted it today and I'll rebuild the other for a spare.

    Elty001's terrano project

Nice work Elty. Another repair that'll outlast the oil reserves:lol

You'll definitely keep your welding skills honed with a terrano. :lol Look forward to seeing photos:thumb2 I've given mine a 2" body lift which helps patching up the chassis :lol

Hi and welcome Dougie. Banshee has a modified swb 2.7 project thread. There are a few mods you can do to a 3ltr engine. They are a little particular though so research well before hand. :thumb2

I phoned a place called Blood Red 4x4s to enquire about 2 inch lift springs. The guy I spoke to was then fitting a 2" lift kit to a terrano for a customer. He doesn't supply terrano stuff so the customer bought the kit from Milners :doh:lol And was fitting 35s. I told him good luck and he...

Cheers Elty. It drives nice now I'm used to it. The current tyres are 265 70 15 and measure almost 29 inch atm. I'm now saving for a pair of bfg muds as I have 2 that has a few miles left. Or if I need 4 I'll go for ATs. Plus I need a winch rope and to wire it up. Saving hard:lol

Checked the oil lines from and to the gearbox. Checked both sides of the cooler and rad. Each time it almost filled a 1.5ltr bottle by the time I'd looked and then switched off the engine. Didn't realize it pumps so much.... Checked all fittings and ran it for a while without issue:nenau Then...

AND I've a saggy arse I will be sorting tomorrow if all goes well :augie:augie:augie The rear spings were what I bought off MadMark an age ago, 20% stiffer but the standard length. They've done well too :p:p

I'm having a mare with box oil finding it's way out:confused: I've been chasing leaks around the engine bay. I've swapped out the rad and added a larger oil cooler and since that its been a mess. it blew a pipe off the other day and left a 100mtr slick down the road until it lost so much, there...

"Terrance" - 04' Terrano II SE Commercial 2.7TDi Project Thread

Looks great pal :thumbs Are you fixing the brake lines along each end? With the off roadiness you get up to, you don't want to get hung up on something and get them caught, when you're being towed off :hide:

It's back on the road tomorrow and I'm straight out working it, so we'll see how it fairs. I've only eyeballed the steering. Haven't found anyone able to set the tracking on this truck. I've ended up tweaking it myself and the tyres have lasted well. So I'll see if I can do it again:clap

I've been persuaded to do some eyegramming and keep getting adverts thrown at me... One was for a loud 12v horn. 130db apparently. It works, but for how long?:lol And fitted a catch can.
