Usual trick when welding petrol tanks is to run a pipe into it from an exhaust at the same time. Same as the CO2 method I guess. And you can wash propane bottles, just unscrew the valve assembly. Although that bit is easier said than done.

I think mine would probably take half an hour before there was a tiny bit i could peep through. By time I got to the end of my lane it would have frozen up again.

How does the pollen filter stop it heating up? It blows air OK, just at the wrong temperature. It warms up eventually, but I have arrived wherever it is I am going first.

Does the clutch share its resevoir with the brakes? I had a similar problem with my Cabstar years ago and eventually found the resevoir has to be very full for the clutch to get any fluid. Even then, I would expect the pedal to come up on its own. Is there a spring detatched off the pedal?
