Cheers Gents, Mine's a 2000 model and has a different box to the 1999 version. I'l give the people from the black country a call in the morning..... rest of the exhaust is fine, just where the pipe meets the back of the centre box... may just weld the thing back on properly, I have a...

    Easy Oil Filter changing

I'm of the 'wheel off to get acess' brigade. makes sense, ok, requires a trolley jack and axle stand but the hassle's worth it. You can check brakes, bushes etc while you're under there as well........... In the year I've had the T2, I've done 3 oil changes, each time, the filter has unscrewed...

    Any Help Plz..

at the risk of public stoning, I'd suggest a good condition toyota landcruiser, LSD front and back axle, suspension can be raised easily, big tyres, comfortable interior and lots of space. plenty of bits available to bolt on as well. To justify my T2, it's narrow enough to get through most...

    Electrical woes

sounds like there is some faulty wiring with the alternator, the W connection should be connected to the rev counter, the needle is rising as it's seeing a voltage, maybe faulty alternator ?? As for the click, I'd check and re-make off the battery connections, to both starter motor and engine...

    4x4 response

:) As I said, I'm old school................ my cv has some considerable gaps in from your point of view, but then, I'd not and would prefer not, to disclose much more. I've followed a highly specialist career overall with lots of offshoots to encapsulate operational requirements, (jargon to say...

    4x4 response

Afternoon DaveD, Thanks for your comments, this is a debate worth having on exactly what does happen, could happen and indeed, should happen during a 4x4R or similar type of callout. my own background is military, primarily communciations. I've seen active service in many parts of the world...

    4x4 response

ok, I'm not going to reveal too much about myself on here, sufficient to say DaveD, I worked for the home office and other agencies for a long time and retain a warrant card. I'm not really 'untrained public. The officers concerned were aware of this as were the management (at my request and...

    4x4 response

transporting prisoners only with officers present, bear in mind that many 4x4R drivers are ex mod, trained to a high standard and only with a risk assessment in place, carried out by the driver and officers concerned. Insurance is covered by 4x4R and also in this instance, my own class 1...

    Tom's Farm Wales Anyone?

I think the two guys who ended up in hospital or the incidents which led to their injuries played a great part....... severe injuries, DOE investigation, court action and of course, illegal vehicles all played a part........... Best stay away I think!

    4x4 response

I'm a member of 4x4 response, spent a few days out with North Wales Police based at both Mold and Buckley stations........... did a fair few miles and a number of jobs, the police could not move without 4x4 R involvement whatsoever, their cars were, through their own regulations, grounded. Given...

    Limited slip diff

Just to add my 2p'wrth............ I thought that the limited slip diff means that in order to allow the car to corner, the diff gives a little, but when one wheel loses grip and spins, the drive is transferred to the stationary wheel in order to move the vehicle. I got rather stuck in snow...
