    I'm not aware you can haver too much oil in a gearbox, unlike an engine. Some people even jack it up one side so they can overfill it......and like you, I thought the filler plug was the level effectively.

    Timbo knows his stuff, so without an LSD you DON'T want LSD oil. Its sounds a bit whacky but ordinary diff oil is actually too slippery for an LSD, which needs a bit of friction for the clutch plates to operate. But sounds worth checking that they have put the correct stuff in.....might be too...

    SAY WHAT??? Something slightly amiss there........the gearing on the Terrano against indicated speedo is such that in top gear, the AUTOMATIC does 30mph per 1000rpm, while the MANUAL does about around 30mph per 1250rpm. SO at 3500rpm, in a manual, you should be nudging an indicated 90mph...

    I'm buggered! I've yet to meet him in person because i'm always zipping past Cahors at 3am (overmnight driving avoids the radar guns LOL)......but one of these days. Very nice chap.
