Its on the wiper motor, may be full of hard grease, give it a clean and a small dab of light grease Bob

That will be the auto park switch on the end of the wiper motor. just remove the plastic cover and give the swtich a clean. Bob .

The output of these is only 6 volts AC and would have to be transfomed UP and then rectified to DC to charge batterys .

What gets hot? The alternator? there's no switch on the alternator! if you mean the glow plugs they do get really really really HOT!! . .

Wrong!! The alternator has nothing to do with the heater plugs, It's only job is to keep the battery charged. all the electric power comes from the battery. The heater plugs are fed from a relay and they will get red hot. Why did you change the alternator and what fault were you trying to...

That should be HIGHER gear to prevent wheelspin, or have I got it wrong ??. .

ANYTHING you put between the connections will reduce the efficiency of that connection, the best connection will be clean metal to metal, what you put OVER that is up to you be it paint or grease. Bob .

But it's a fixed hub Mk IV so all the shafts will turn in 2 or 4 wheel drive. Bob .

Why did nissan scrap the F/W hubs on the late models ?? and fit a permanant drive flange, will this drive flange fit the models with F/W hubs. if so this should be cheaper than fitting manual hubs. Bob .
