So I had a drive down to see Rick yesterday for what was hopefully a quick turn around emergency cv change.

It was at this point we noticed that the drive shaft boot was also split :doh

We cut it off as I had a second cv kit with a spare boot ect :thumb2

After hastily cutting off we very quickly realised the boots were different shapes :doh

Luckily as Rick is a driveshaft killer :sly

He had a whole box of em lying around in his workshop :lol

After pinching one of those we returned to the cv.

Unfortunately the stupid clips we had for the kit also didn't really fit the wider boot :doh

After much alteration we finally got it together and looking good :clap

As we had lost the sun we also stopped for a bite to eat too

Rick my dear, as usual you are a legend!

I'm so happy I didn't let joe blogs do my truck as it would still be in pieces in his drive :lol

You made what was really daunting work for me into a breeze, even with the boot hiccup :thumb2

All hail Rick :bow:bow:bow :lol

Good job.
I would love to be able to do these jobs myself.
I am learning a lot though.
Today I learnt welding:D:D.
After fitting the 33s I had to chop lots of body work off.and left holes!.
today for the first time I picked a mig up and had a go:eek:
Wow its hard.it looks shit.but I did it:D.I found a bit of heavy rust that would of gone unnoticed if it wasn't for doing the mods.
I'm off for a week now which means I'm working on truck in between walking and swimming.:D
