Default Steve the hero for once

I have been out to the coast sea fishing today (Dinky's fault) I went to a place called East Halton near Grimsby. I got to the fishing spot which is new to me so I had to explore a bit before I set up for fishing.

I had a good drive around, then had a walk with my doggie, then had another drive around. Had to take a bit of care not to run over the motocrossers etc but then I explored a new place and the were a bunch of lads struggling to get a sunken suzuki jeep out of a swampy bit, I offered to help even though my past offroading experiance is a bit sketchy (see driveway post )

They had a winch and we connected it to my terrano and I happily dragged them out, it was quite fun and I let them do all the dirty work. They were happy and thanked me a lot

The fishing was rubbish (no fish) and there were 8 gales all blowing at the same time plus tons of rain so i got fed up and went home .

but the day was kind of fun for a nice change

Hi Steve

credit where credit due - outside of the 4x4 world, how many "normal" car drivers would stop to help another driver.

with regards to fishing - i spend most of my time feeding the crabs.

but remember - A BAD DAYS FISHING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAYS WORK

in better weather (i.e warmer) any members fancy chartering a boat & skipper for a day of deep sea crab feeding AKA fishing

My mates and I chartered a boat to go sea fishing, we spent ages until we found a spot that was fantastic fish after fish after fish, we'll have to come here again my mate said.

I said how will you remember where it was, (Pre satnavs)
He said I'll put a cross on the side of the boat.

I said don't be ******* stupid....
We may not get the same boat again....
