Default Which one is best ?

My brother is looking for a new vehicle and has mentioned a Terrano a few times.
He'll mostly use it on the road, and go light green laning in it occasionally. Money's not really an issue, so which one's best ? By that I mean which one's got most toys ?

3.0l has better mpg then the 2.7tdi but cant run on svo but from what i have heard it can run on bio diesiel.
