Default nissan terrano cd console

Hi
LOOKING FOR SOME HELP HERE,I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A T2 YEAR 2000,IT IS FITTED WITH A NISSAN RADIO CASSETE PLAYER WITH INTEGRAL HAZZARD LIGHT SWITCH,I AM LOOKING TO REMOVE THE FACTORY FITTED UNIT AND PUT IN A CD PLAYER.I HAVE SEEN A CENTRE CONSOLE ON E-BAY THAT FITS IN PLACE OF THE FACTORY FITTED UNIT AND ALLOWS FITTING OF CD PLAYER.THE CENTRE CONSOLE ON E-BAY IS FITTED WITH A HAZZARD LIGHT,DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE OF THESE CONSOLES OR HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS

Sounds like the Mistral console, I've thought about getting one and using a DIN facia to mount my CB.

Hi Highlander :smile: Did you check under the drivers seat for the CD auto changer :roll: I've got the ealier mk2 (twin headlight) & it's the bottom of the range S model & mines got the changer fitted so I would have thought yours would have.
I know you can get an adapter the fit a standard Din head unit in place of the factory one. I know they pop up now & again on ebay so I would keep checking on there :smile:

The facia plate is available from Nissan, about £12 IIRC, and you need to purchase a hazard light switch as well.

getting the original stereo out is a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

My 2001 Sport model doesn't have a CD changer either.

Mine has a single in Dash.
Well did have till i swapped it for a After fit Sat nav cd radio etc etc.

NO m8 : : perhaps they replaced them with anti locking brakes instead :roll: as mines got full locking brakes & sounds like a truck jacknifing when you lock them up with the AT's on : : :
