Default back from hol's

Hi all

just back from a week in pompey. Weather was superb
And in true pompey form "it was a good run ashore".

Attended a cruise night in Southsea pics on photobucket soon if any one interested.

Mistral run faultless, I think.

Is just under halfway on the tempeture guage about right for a motorway jaunt at about 80 mph (5 persons, fishing gear and luggage) for about 10ish miles.

Slowed down back to under a qtr on the guage.

Fishing ok, nothing major to report alot of sea weed due to a couple of days of high winds, but still hot though.

ah my mate went there 2 weeks ago, as you look at the point, too your right there is sea defence gate he fishes there because you can get to the beach/sand using the steps, as there slippery he goes down and covers steps with sand, sorted, its a good spot to fish mate, let me know how you get on paul.

Glad you had a good time Paul - re temp gauge, yep after 12 years driving these trucks, halfway is exactly where it should be in normal driving.....if it goes higher its definitely starting to overheat. But if that ever happens because you're under load (and its not a knackered thermostat, just a bit of run-of-the-mill overheating) you just do it the old-fashioned way - wind yer windows down and whack the heater on full blast, that'll soon cool things down!

Hi all

thanks for the info. I am happy that all is ok.

I estimate about 25 mpg, but my truck is always well loaded.

regards Paulp
