I've heard the alarm horn is inside the rear side panels on the drivers side

When you find it take a picky so we can all see where it is.

So is the missing wire or loose wire at the horn end of the circuit or somewhere else?

dirty ground or bad relay could be the prob, if the wires are connected and clean it could be a knackered horn.

i had a horn on a car not working cleaned the horn and even replaced it without success, i noticed that the warning buzzer to let me know i left my lights on was not working and it was a using the same relay as the car horn so maybe it is the same setup on your vehicle and this tell you relay problem.
