Air Ambulance Join Countys Fundraising.!
Putting this out as a feeler to see what sort of response i get.?
Done this when i had me Scooby & saw over 200 cars turn up.! Wasn't quite on the scale i'm planning to do this time though... As we are all owners of 4x4's & most of us like going green laning & gravel pits etc... You never know if you,a friend or family member may need it. The Goverment are happy to throw money at 2nd homes & giving cash to people who werent born & bread here but dont like fuelling & runing Air Ambulances So... This is what i'm thinking... A sponsored ROAD TRIP some might be done off road ? Starting at Norfolk going through Sufolk, Essex, Kent, Surry, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Glamorgan, Brecknockshire, Cardiganshire, Montgomeryshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire & finishing at Yorkshire.! I'm sure some of these countys rely on the Air Ambulance for walkers & bikers... I'm thinking maybe sponsor per mile.? Or a minimum donation.? Your thoughts.? |

You're bang on about the air amb, they have formal responsibilities but are actually a charity
They all have their own area fund raisers and as separate organisations no central co ordination as far as I am aware. But I do know for a fact theyre always wanting dosh Perhaps you could tie in for good pr with the team wales campaign ? ps I would have thought a national road trip meeds to come further north & west too. You will survive the rarified atmosphere north of York and if you want to visit GNAAS I should be able to help out http://www.greatnorthairambulance.co.uk/pages/about_us |

Yes this is one area that i do know As i said though...just want to see what sort of a response i get.? Will be down Wales again this week so can talk to Colin about tying it in with the "Sarn" etc. You rightly say they are county only not national hense this thread... i.e. Say we get 1 from Essex 10 from Wales 20 from Yorkshire Could add the total up & divide it between the 3 countys.? ? |

Here's my idea...
Been to see them today... Have the "start & finish" point in Essex.! Passing the model air ambulance from 4x4 to 4x4.! So you may only drive a few miles.! If you wanted to drive more miles,it would be your choice.? I'd like to pass it through as many countys in the UK as possible.? We could be sponsered per mile individually.? The model air ambulance could also be sponsered per mile.? Any thoughts peeps.? Interested.? |

air ambulance
great idea.
As with most things, work and family pressures can be a hurdle. good idea about a relay road trip Adz, each area does there bit of the run in there county or country for team wales, and then pass the baton (so to speak) at the border and have a finale, say at the annual meet. bit late logistically this year i know. that way all could contribute as much or as little they can manage. just a thought paulp |
