towing a 4x4 automatic

hi just some info please, can you tow a automatic 4x4 with a towing dolly as long as the rear wheels are of the ground on the dolly, can it cause damage ps just a quick thanks to all the messages recieved about my mav.

cant you just take the rear drive shaft off, to tow it on a dolly

4 wheel drives have to be off the ground

You can only move them short distances

Doesnt the transfer box need warm fluid running through it.?
ie the engine running.? Or it could damage it.?
My friend recoverd my Scooby once from a track day after i burnt the brakes

Front wheels went onto a dolly & he strapped the rears on to individual trollys.!

It should be ok because of the free wheeling hubs.

How far you going? from where to where? i have a trailer that wil carry it.

Don't think you'll find this is a problem at all, providing its in neutral.

Its bump starting thats a big no-no on an automatic box.
