I dont get it
As a member of this club that enjoys 4x4 off roading & greenlaning with my Nissan 4x4, why would anyone want to go and set up their own club for Nissan 4x4's ?????????????????
WHERES THE LOYALTY ????????????????????? Why not work at trying to spice up beef up the sections on here for the off roading types instead, rather than attempt to take away members from here causing yet another divide ???? You may not like the owner of the club or members on here. Numpty's come and go and some hang around trying to cause disruption and the owner may drop cocky comments in here and there. Surely your strong enough to handle that kind of thing, especially if its for something your genuine about ? Or have I got it wrong again ? |

you can bet some names wont be there.
but in fairness to both parties. is it not best to wait until they have discussed it together. so could it not wait for a couple of days till everyone has calmed down and had a think about it, i know i was very shocked last night. not by the forum, but the trust bit ... that was shocking i have spoken to the admin there and here and they really need to talk themselves first. for 2 weeks now people have been coming here,(the ones that really had vanished) to fish for rows and controversy. and we all got sucked in this only ruins our place. so come on, if they want there space there way then we as a club should accept that one thing for sure if we all get into a big debate about it, then it will only spoil our space. |

I really dont know much at all about the less recent site histories so I aint qualified to comment and wont, but the thing that crossed my mind and inmho its what it comes down to:
Is competition a good thing in that each club will find its niche and work alongside each other Or is there no market for two clubs and it'll dilute the impact of both I really dont know, I do know that the cost of membership may sway some peoples decisions !!!! I have also joined Borders 4x4 but tbh (and its no reflection on the membership or running of that club) its not quite as relevant as the local connections in a nissan specific site so when I have to split my time I dont go on there that much. Its me, not them. The above arent personal comments aimed at any individual, its whats buzzing round my bonce. |

Ah, now it's clearer. Seems to be a split of some sort. No doubt caused by Team Wales having the nerve to have too much fun on their days out, especially as they didn't get permission from God(s). And not only having too much fun but having the cheek to publish pictures and videos of these wild days out!! Bringing the whole 4x4 community into disrepute.
If Team Wales isn't careful, they will bring the whole world crashing down with their irresponsible attitude. Seriously though,I'm just sitting here enjoying our Bank Holiday and shaking my head. Seems the pack mentality is alive and well and living in the UK. What is to stop anyone who doesn't agree with what happens on this or any other site just getting off their backside and going out and having fun? Do you really need to organise into packs to go and have fun? Seems to be a carry over from the footie hooligan days, let's go mob handed because that's the only way we can have fun. Small outings like Team Wales have had work because they are compact, don't look intimidating and it is much easier to organise with smaller numbers. Have a look at the proposed big meets, some have ended up as small and worked out ok. I know if I was out and about either walking, cycling etc. and saw a pile of 4x4's approaching, I would feel intimidated. Bit like the boot boy days, they didn't need to misbehave to be intimidating, just their presence was enough. Keep it small ,lads, more fun and less likely to draw negative attention. Ok,rant over, I'm going for a walk in the sunshine, with a smile on my face and the missus on my arm. All is right with the world,at least for now. |

why not have 2 places to go or even 3 they can suit everybody's needs and every one can benefit from this. really people will find where they feel comfortable |

I don't know, two days away and it all goes to cock
Personally I'm neither surprised nor bothered. Its a free country so let them do as they please. Look at it this way, if its free you'll probably get what you pay for... |

Sorry but .................
Getting back on topic again.
My question was - why would some one from this club 'Nissan 4x4 owners club' setup another club 'Nissan offroad club' ? My point being, what is wrong with this clubs facilities as regards to off roading ? I dont want all the different cliques to use this as an opertunity to start slating me. I just cant see the point when this place has all the facilities in place already. I did wonder who would be the first to say the obvious, "its a free country". Lets see if we can keep this on topic for at least half a dozen posts a least eh ? |
