Default Finally i got one!

yay!!

so I got a Maverick GLS, in Purple! I got Chrome bits on it too. I am very pleased with it. I paid £1000 via ebay, so could only just afford it. I have to tax it in a month, and new brake shoes to fit at some point soon ish (included), will also need new rear tyres next year probably.

the drive was good back, as with all new vehicles i have to get used ot it, discover the quirks etc, and its way different to driving my Mazda MX6, or even my old Fourtrak for that matter. Everything seems ok, idles fine, engine ticks over happily, might benfit from a service. NO smoke from exhaust, and everything works as it should. Got new battery, starter motor and front/mid exhaust, and wax oyld to buggery.

On driving everything seems ok, the turbo is a bit weird, on my old fourtrak, it kicked in at 2500 rpm, and was obvious, on this, it isnt really, i can hear it whislting away. IN fourth, i foudn that at 3/4k rpm, it seems to drop power a bit, then its ok, weird, not too sure what that means, its absolutely fine.

er...so yeah , not much else to report, i am sure you guys no everything there is to know. Quite a few nice surprises for me though, such as the courtesy light and sunroof, i usually expect abolsute basics from 4x4's, so this is lovely.

anyways, pics ahoy!
