you need nothing to start with, im still running as standard. looking out for AT's tyres and wheels as a play set.

what you DO need is some one who know where its ok to go, and they normaly have whats needed if you he they get stuck, Ive been onto Salisbury plain a few times, its great fun.

Im sure some one closer to you will point you in the right direction.

have great time when you do go.

There's usually one or two meets going on from here, have a look for Yorkshire Dales or Derbyshire posts on here.
Two most important things you need are good road tyres or better still AT's and NEVER go alone!!! just in case you get stuck. Meet up with some of these guys on here as I'm sure you'll be made welcome and you'll have one heck of a good time. A CB is a good bit of kit if you have one or can borrow one as it means you can keep in touch and ask questions as you drive a long. Once you've been "green laning" you'll want to go again and you'll have a great big grin on your face.

Better to accompany someone in a Land rover and then you can tow them out when they get stuck

what side of the rainy city then, we have a few, to north, oldham I believe and to west.

then if you can put up wi us theres members in derbyshire, south and north(west) yorks.

as said best bet is to join one of our trips into country, you'll be amazed what a standard
vehicle can do....

Try these guys at Northwest 4x4 . I haven't been on there for quite a while but it's ran by a nice guy called Steve .
They offroad regularly around your area .
