I think that if you're blocked in by the offending vehicle, then they are obstructing the highway and you can get them towed away.
If they block you out, not much you can do.
If they are parked on your drive, they are trespassing.
You have got a legitimate dropped kerb, haven't you?

Call your council, but be aware it isn't illegal.

To be honest authorities probably won’t have the time or resources to sort this out. Best advice is have a friendly polite chat to driver of the car, be angry and unfriendly will only get them annoyed so best be polite at first and see if you can get them to stop blocking you in.

Without knowing which car is which and on who's land/property I cannot say, so some specific info would be good Rick

That would annoy me - if it's a regular thing as it makes reversing out difficult. I would just have a word and ask if he/she/they could keep your driveway access free.

I have noticed on some of our local streets they have painted solid white lines across access points with a short line at each end. Not sure if you have to ask or it's something they do in some areas. You could put a "polite notice" near your driveway asking for the driveway to be kept clear.

Back in the day when I worked shifts I come home extra late to find my drive blocked by a neighbours visitor. I knocked them up at 2.30 am and asked them to move it please, only ever happened the once!

I would be having a word with the driver, if his vehicle is obstructing part of your dropped kerb then I would be asking the police to interview him regarding possible action regarding "obstruction" if they say they are not interested for whatever reason then state they will be interested if a breach of the peace occurs which will be on the cards if he continues to block my drive, Rick
