Human Kindness Today
Hi guys, hope you don’t mind as I’ve edited my post just to remove some details.
Anyway today I was laid here nothing much going on with me. There is an elderly gentleman that has been in same ward a few days more than me. Won’t go into details but it’s obvious he has major health issues. He was so upset that he couldn’t see a Sheffield football match this evening. Another patient tethered his own ipad to his mobile phone and then set the match playing and took it across to the elderly gentleman. I was so genuinely touched by that act of kindness. The elderly man was so thrilled to watch the match it has seemed to make such a difference to him. |

It can be the simple things that make all the difference. Good on him.

Jim,
So very sorry to hear of your setback, but certainly hope you get over this and get back home soon. Small random acts of kindness are wonderful things, long may they last.... |

Kindness doesn't get the publicity it deserves.

Newspapers pedlars of mostly bad news

It was not ever perfect but back in the day there was a larger choice of titles often owned by philanthropists who often lost money on their Papers. Just look back at some of the guilty - Eddie Shah, Robert Maxwell now dominated by the likes of the Murdoch Empire. Like our TV here in the UK we have dumbed down to Eurotrash quality. |
