I have loads up to around 2000 but the later ones are different, so keep an eye for that, Rick

Re: rear Brakes
Hi Rick , thanks for the info.
Are the whole adjuster assemblies different ? I only require the Adjuster screw x 2 to be honest, they look very similar to Nav to me though not got a Nav handy to open up & look. Regards Adrian |

OK I will have a hunt round and see if I can find the bits you are thinking you need and take a pic or two, but I know for certain the later ones (2000 on) are different, Rick

Good evening gentlemen,
My truck is giving me more grief, does anyone have a pair of torsion bars with the Adjuster arm & lower arm housings, failed with the induction heater & i'm expecting to get brutal with gas axe tomorrow to get it all dismantled. I have just remembered why I only do old French stuff for a living !!! Thanks Adrian |

That sounds drastic
I've had mine out but they took some persuading. Obviously you have removed the circlip? |

Re : torsion bars
Hi Ian,
yes circlips out, I have managed to remove the n/s lower arm by unbolting the torsion housing but even with the induction heater on the housing & a puller to tension against the bar no success. Trouble will be if I use the oxy/acet it will undoubtedly do the torsion bar no good at all Regards Adrian |

Here is a pic of the older style adjuster, the thread is 10mm and threaded section is 55mm long, overall length is 110, the adjuster nut is 17 mm small size 19mm large size, I do have a pair if they fit your motor, also have torsion bars and fittings if needed, but still on a vehicle on its wheels, Rick

re: further woes
Good evening Gentlemen,
Ian, Got the thing in pieces now but I'm not happy re-using torsion bars had to use quite a bit of heat & air hammer. Rick, looks like you were correct, my adjusters are different to the picture, Thread section M10 l/h with 1 ratchet pawl & the shoe engagement fork is a loose section. RE: torsion Bars etc, Items required 1pr Torsion bars & 1pr of adjuster housings. Query, in the manual & parts list illustrations shows a rubber boot at both ends of torsion bar. My truck only has boots at adjuster (circlip) end & I would say never has had any at the front end is this right?? I don't suppose you have a good front bumper & grille as well ?? Let me know £££ & payment method etc Thanks & regards Adrian |
