Default Hi from Manchester

Hi, I'm Lewis, from Rochdale, Manchester. I drive a y61 patrol, more or less standard at the moment but won't stay that way for long (none of my 4x4s ever do).

First mods already done, cb fitted ready for lanning

Had a few other 4x4s, the patrol is my first Nissan, but my dads had a few Nissan off-roaders before and since we all love pics here's a few of his old ones.

Cheers, Lewis

Welcome mate and cracking pictures!!

Wasn't it that era of 3 litre engines that were problematic in the patrol?

My bad mate, I misread!!! You need to have a look at Mr K's Project Thread, same colour as yours and he's dropping a Skyline engine in it

Skyline engined patrol sounds cool.

Barrbeast
Nice looking patrol. Is that first pic on the strata?

Plan is eventually 4inch lift, 35s and re get to suit. Lokka auto locker in the front, snorkel, front winch bumper (and of course winch) and rear bar with swing away spare wheel carrier (possible even rear winch too) and anything else I think of along the way.
First things first thoug, fix the small amount of rust on the front end and dinitrol the full car to stop any more rust. Then rock sliders to protect the worlds longes sills as I can't see them lasting long unprotected.

Thumbs up Welcome I love the look of the Patrol

Every time I see a Patrol I want one ! Would have to be an Automatic in standard condition with around 60 K on the clock in any colour but Red (that I actually like Wife says its too macho for her to drive).

Every time I have been in the market for a replacement 4 x 4 I can never find one except those with Starship mileage ! It would have to be post 54 plate so later common rail 3 litre sounds about right provided they have a cam chain rather than a belt.
P.S.I hate cam belts

Overheating, head, and or head gasket, boost creep, injection pump......etc

Just about every 2.8 problem. I bought it because of the early 3.0 supossed issues, kept as the body is in good nick and spent too much money on it, decided to throw the engine away
