Default A bang on the beach

I took this photo over the bank holiday weekend at low Skirlington, when I was a boy around twenty years ago I used to go looking for fired bullets and other interesting things on the same beach, looks like things are getting exiting now

Hard to tell on the picture but i think the object is about the size of a bucket, or a large paint tin. I think it's an underwater mine , interesting though, and sorry about the misleading title Ian

I remember seeing a similar sign an a beach in North Devon.
It was in "Minehead" lol.
There were also plenty of shells on the beach too.

The problem is the sand gets everywhere and become quite irritating.
