When I first saw this post, I thought...

How do you start a soft toy race?

Ready
Teddy

Go......

Now this is my first post for nearly a week, so what do you expect, On Tuesday I had a high dose of radiotherapy on two places on my spine, to try to kill off a couple of tumours that had metastised from my pelvis area.
The radiotherapy had caused me to be sick and made my legs week and caused much greater pain than was there before. I was warned about these side effects, It tired me out so I was in bed for 2-3 days, however, yesterday I was up and about, and drove 60 miles each way to visit the outlaws.

Oh Banshee, I did see your post on Rustic chicken, but as my back was red raw with radiation burns, I was more like Roast Chicken. I did not feel up to making a witty reply, which would have been my norm, but what went through my head was...
I was thinking of asking you to buy some Paxo, then I could tell you to get st****d

A few more days on, the pains are now less, the soreness on my back has reduced, and I can now walk again without stumbling.

Uncle Rustic
Taking each day as it comes.

To be fair, it is tough somedays, you have the treatment, which the side effects are often far worse than the condition for a period of time, but hey ho a few weeks later when those aches and pains have gone, you are pleased that you had the treatment done. You have new energy, you tackle some of those jobs around the house and plan others.
You are fine for a month, then the oncologist reviews the scans and sees another small breakout, and offers treatment. Yes I will take that too... back to square one, somedays life seems like a game of snakes and ladders, but then some ba***** takes the ladder away, hopefully I'm not on it at the time lol.
For those of you counting, it has been nearly a year now since I was first diagnosed, I'm still here, and with my oncologist's help, he thinks I will be around for a few more years yet.
So those wanting to buy my Mav... will have to wait a long time yet lol...

I thought about being buried in my Mav, like a viking funeral, but the grave digger objected on the grounds that the Mav was not very eco friendly, but he would buy it off me though...
