r3mr OR Regulus
This was up for sale about 3 years ago at a silly asking price of around £6000 !!
I personally would not buy another import due to the higher Insurance costs but it look reasonably tidy for it's age. |

Imported Regulus
Have an imported Regulus R3mR and found it slightly cheaper to insure than comparable Terranos/mavericks and L/R Freelanders-Discoveries. Need to shop around. I found Direct Line cheapest and included Wife and Son

Maybe Insurers have changed the wat they look at a imports. I was with Saga who declined to transfer the cover I was 8 months into my existing policy so had to cancel and loose 8 months worth of NCB. Then I found none of the online firms listed the r3mR and was forced to use Adrian Flux for the first couple of years. Interestingly the Certificate just showed it as a 2.7 Terrano.
Eventually I went to the NFU who were cheaper than Adrian Flux but again the Certificate just showed it as a Terrano with a note in the modifications section. I suspect my difficulty was that the Log Book V5 just showed it as a Nissan 4x4 with no mention of Terrano or r3mR when it was registered in the UK. |

Hi,
The difference in insurance between UK and imported vehicles has certainly narrowed considerably since the first wave of import came to the UK in the mid to late 90's. Regards, Dan. |
