Default Parts wanted Nissan Terreno/Regulus R3mr

The dreaded MoT is coming around and I'm hunting for parts for my R3mR on an R50 Chassie I managed to find and adapt most items in the past year but I am still having difficulty obtaining the Chrome from the front and rear bumpers. Several suppliers in Europe have stated that Pathfinder parts will fit but will offer no exchange should the be wrong. I have been told by an ex-colleague that plastic replacements are available in N/Zealand. I would think that shipping would make this uneconomical. Has any one any solutions to this problem or know of a supplier . Is it possible to remove the bumper extension with the chrome section and just run with the rear section up to the sides and fit an end cap. I have just started to walk again after a bad hip and femur fracture and would appreciate any ideas and instructions as to how this can be done? Any holes left in the body work I can weld and fill. I don't geton line that often so a pm to ken2692@yahoo.co.uk can be used if club rule permit

You might find it cheaper to take off the old chrome and have it repaired and re-chrome plated.

When I had my r3mR they were quite rusty at the rear - it sounds dreadful but I cleaned mine best I could, filled with filler then stuck some imitation carbon fibre on top to hide it !

I was going to use that aluminium sheet you can buy that has a pattern on it but in the end didn't bother.

The price is crazy but Nissan dealers have the parts catalogue for the r3mR you just need a decent dealer and a parts person who will take the trouble to look and send the enquiry and obtain the price. I got a price for front wings for mine but they were crazy money something like £1200 each plus VAT. That's why I sold ours as it need front wings - mechanically she was sound.
