Default I Really Need To Get A Grip

I really need to get a grip, I've got a great little Skoda that I px'd my 05 plate truck for earlier this year. It's a great car, econimical, comfortable and the air con works. But which flipping car am I jumping in to go to work amd run around in at night, yep the project truck. I'm loving driving at around, why didn't I have an automatic before now. It's a great drive, big daft grin on my face.

Default Welcome to the Automatic Drivers Appreciation Club

Whilst a manual gearbox has it's admirers I am a 100% automatic driver.
I just fail to see why some drivers deride automatics as being for lazy drivers or lacking control etc.
I would concede that for towing heavy trailers and caravans a manual is probably better to avoid overheating but this can be addressed by fitting a larger ATF oil cooler for the determined.
I for one will never own another manual car and have not had one for over 20 years. I do drive manuals at work and it reminds me just how pedestrian they can be.

Am I right in thinking that F1 cars now have no clutch pedal ?
