Default Terrano Specifications

After looking at the list of 36 Terrano models in the Parkers Guide Link Bri posted up, I got to thinking that as the main club for this Marque, we really should be documenting what we know about the various models. It would be nice is if there was a list of what the differences were between the models and years etc.

So I thought, as a little winter group project, we should have a go at noting what changed on each year, model, and spec.

If people add some notes on here, I will create a file where we can compile it all together. E.g, which year cars had round head lights/rectangular ones, indicators in the wing/bumper, analogue/digital Odometer, DIN style radio, EGR, Air filter box, washer bottle location, round/angular rear bumper cut out, Fuel system, seat belts, dash changes, rear door net, load cover, alarm (NATS), ECU, hand throttle, LSD, grease nipples, cast/pressed rear diff, Air bags...

Then there is the spec/optional extras, Aircon, CD player, heated seats, electric mirrors, sunroof, tinted windows, chrome mirrors/grill, wheel types/size, side steps, roof bars, auto gear box....

Looking at the Parkers guide you have the following 36 variants.

I have a couple of sales brochures, one that covered my Ford Maverick, that's over 20 years old lol, and in pristine condition too lol... one that included the Maverick specials like Aspen etc, and I'm sure I have a Terrano one.

If I scan these at some point, who should I email them to? I don't have any on line photo bucket accounts.
We need somewhere on the site where these can be compiled.
When I can, not for a few days, I will post a pic of the front covers of what I have, to save duplication.

I forgot the Maverick, and the Mistral, it would be good to see where they fitted into this as well.

Sounds good... In the short term, you could send them to me, and I will either host them on my website server, or find somewhere else.

I was thinking we could just add them into here, and once we have a fairly good list we could then put it into a rounded up package of info that is easy to find, like the downloads...

Basically, we need people who know what the differences between the models, to post anything up, then we can start to collate them...

I have a couple of simple questions, like on the Petrol version, does the "i" stand for Intercooler, or Injection?, and why does the 2.4 X-Tream have 2 versions?

I think I know what you mean, so here's another question I have a 2000 SE+2.7TDi auto but what has the plus got that the standard SE hasn't cos as far as I can see there is no difference? And mine has a metal spare wheel cover and it is a Nissan one so was it just on the SE+ or was it an option?

May be hard to be 100% accurate as well as lets say someone is the 3/4th owner of their truck how do they know if what condition they brought it in was how it left the factory

1997 SWB 2.7 tdi here, continental model. SR spec. Commercial conversion from The Netherlands, so with raised polyester roof and metal instead of glass side windows.
Electric front windows, driver side has "comfort" function where you don't have to hold down the switch all the time. Electrically adjustable wing mirrors, still working. Came without factory-installed radio. Interior: grey plastic, grey/blue cloth seats. Fold-out cupholder below radio, 2 cup placements in the underside of the arm rest lid.
5 speed manual. 235/75 R15 wheels; even though instruction manual mentions only 16".
Cast iron rear diff. Hitachi MAF.
