Default Shiny Bitz...

Just convinced my self that this would be a good Idea

Hopefully the 35mm off set will allow the tyres to clear the suspension arms on full lock

This may then mean I have to cut the arches back even further

Check the center bores on the spacers. I seem to remember the Patrol hubs a tad bigger than most.

If they are about 100 quid they will be from foreign lands and I would not put them on a kids go cart never mind a 2+ ton truck. Just my opinion but its your choice.

See, with no criticism intended at all, on what basis do you say this?

My spacers are relatively cheap and cheerful and they've taken a beating, no signs of damage or similar and they are hollow

Just wondered if it's one of those story's that "they" tell you or if you've actually seen first hand carnage?

Also the person fitting em makes a huge difference to how they behave

The materials they use is recycled coke cans and the studs are not to any specification, some use manifold type studs which is just wrong. If your using the hollow type with stud extensions with them wheels you are a brave man
Nothing wrong with spacers just need to be good quality ones in my opinion

I have a set similar to the ones in the pics. I had them on for a few weeks. Then a wheel came loose ! The nuts on the wheel were fine but the nuts supplied with the spacers were made of shiny cheese and had stripped their threads
I limped home and changed the studs and nuts. Then got some decent wheels as soon as I could

If I remember correctly Alex you have stud extensions that your spacers slide over, the ones in the first post here look to be held with the original nuts and the wheel held on the bolts fitted to the spacer, so the spacer is taking all the load, if that is correct then as has been stated do not even fit them to a go cart, Rick

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

Surely they have got to be made and tested to some specification or they wouldn't be able to sell them
