Default Newbie cylinder head

Hi guys, newbie here and sorry have to admit haven't been a patrol owner for many years now since the last one died ( got a trooper now) but hoping you can help me out. Probably posting this in the wrong section also but if you guys are anything like the ITOC family you'll forgive me anyway.
Ok, here goes. I live in France and a French pal of mine has a 1996 2.8 td 6 pot and the cylinder head has gone. He can't seem to find one anywhere in France so I said I'd have a look. That's about it. If you're anything like the ITOC boys then I think I've probably come to the best place. New or used ( I don't know the best option, you guys are the experts) can any of you help by pointing me in the right direction of a trusted (by members) breaker or dealer.
Thanks in advance and if any of you want to reply by mail you can at marcustheplasterer@live.com
P.s Happy new year and enjoy playing in the snow. I don't tend to get much living in the south of France.

Hmmm tricky one it is. Someone on here will surely point in the right direction, we have some breakers on the forum but will they have this? Anyone's guess?

Good luck on your hunt though

If it heps, the 2.8 inline 6 was given the engine code RD28. Akso found in many other models not just patrol. Also the nissan laurel, atlas truck, early skyline taxi's, cedric and gloria.

Thanks for replies so far chaps, will check in tomorrow in hope of gold. Did find an ad on the bay from China that seems to be manufacturing 2.8 heads but not sure if thats the best direction to go.

A Laurel head from Lithuania here:

It seems from another advert that there may be 3 or more different lifter /pump arrangements for these heads?

Yes there is. But you only want the head, they are all the same, just injection systems get improved, just like any other engine
