Do a search on here for Lokka, there are a few good threads, including one by Rick with all the goods and bads of fitting them.

I thought you had done it too.
Why would you want to fit one now Pete if your just restoring to sell? I know ricks done one.or two. I must admit I toyed with the idea a while ago. And thought nahh! Its going too far for what I need. My needs have changed.I now need a winch.preferably one at front and back and a lokka. |

I saw your pictures, and loved the idea, as it keeps it safe and protected, plus makes use of what is basically wasted space. I could not work out though if you had braced the winch mount to anything. If it is mounted in the floor pan, what stops it from bending the floor pan My other thought is, is it safe to pull on the body rather than the chassis, as the body is only really held onto the chassis with 10 bolts? |

There should be some earlier pics of the rear winch build on here somewhere. I did a dirty great steel channel welded onto the chassis via the coil hangers. Body lift reqd to do it like mine so the winch cable/rope can pass over the fuel tank
