After I joined about 4 or 5 years ago I almost immediately started saving money - I thought one of my cv joints was faffed, was looking at spending a couple of hundred pounds to get it fixed. Paid my £10, put a plea for help on here, it was suggested I lubed my steering stops - result! All it cost me was a blob of grease in four places. Had my £10 back over and over again.
First thing to check would be your mini filter - if you pay your £10 membership there's a worksheet available that tells you where to find it and how to remove it, then it's just a matter of washing it in petrol or WD40 and sticking it back in (some members, me included, have not bothered to put it back, it was forever getting blocked with crappy Spanish fuel.
