Be aware though the mot man might not, if he spots it

Most likely get away with it I'm sure, but technically if it's in the swept area it's a fail. It's stupid I know
Keep a short wiper blade in the truck

Tell me about it got stopped 12 years ago for having one on my old MK4 Escort by a stroppy copper as I pointed out the sun visors when pulled down block more view than the sun strip even if they are up against but that's legal he couldn't answer me on that he then tried his hardest to find faults with my car & failed so slapped me with a defect notice for the sun strip went to the MOT station they looked at it & stamped the notice saying all was good

That's the trouble with plod, they just won't take it that some people might actually know more than them
My son's an apprentice mechanic/fabricator and has a selection of "project" cars Coming home late one night last week plod pulled him over for a chat. "Nothing to worry about sonny" Yeh right Anyway the engine bay was to be inspected and plod said the missing air filter was an mot fail My son told him straight that it wasn't. The battery didn't have a clamp on it but my son had made a special wedge to hold it, all fashion like . Again plod reckoned it was a fail, again my son told him it's just got to be secure, try n shift it if you want ? Plod then got all shirty, "You know it all sonny". my son told him that he worked in an MOT garage and that yes he knew these things were legit. Oh right o on your wy but I'm keeping an eye on you ! Say what, cheeky bugger PLOD need to EARN respect again me thinks
