Default Once bumpers are gone

Hi all, been having a thought, once my front and rear bumpers have both been removed (you have seen the rear) I'm wondering how much chopping would be left to fit 33s?

Can anyone shed light as to what had to be cut?

At this point i wont really care about chopping arches up ect.

without a bodylift I would say quite a bit.
on full lock the tyre will rub on the inner wing where the seam is,had to cut and flatten this on mine for 31's,but they are a deep dish rim.

back end i took mudflaps off, front end required a bit more work tho including work with mr angle grinder and really i could do with chopping some more out as it still rubs a bit and i have a 2.5" body lift and a 2" susp lift you will also need a good offset set of rims or the tyre will rub on the steering arm

Blimey... How difficult is a body lift? I think if I'm not mistaken you need to consider brake hoses, gear stick, steering stem?

I'm definately putting it on my to do list.

Is your display pic 31s?

I want some proper chunky wheels, not sure what mine count as but they are stock size, 235 65 16 or whatever they are

Ive got the old ml event tyres on

For 33's you need to remove the lips on the rear arches & loose the mud flaps

On the front you have to cut the wings & loose the mud flaps

or you lift ya body & extend certain pipes

I have used over the past 6 years all on terranos, 30's, 31's, 33's & 35's ( borrowed for a month )

& to be honest 31's & a winch get you there

Thanks guys. I think I need steering in the righ direction from a few of you. Once my front bumper is fitted most of the muck will be out the way anyway so it'll be an arch trim I hope. Ive gotta admit id love to go 33's mainly for looks.

Well, and ground clearance.

31's are the best all rounder

Myself & Pete aka Makeitfit & past members can tell you for a fact, that past 31's open up a whole load of ball joint abuse / funny wheel angles when cornering & poo steering on road at speed

I used to have 31s on my old frontera, never remember them being particularly extreme, the 33s however... Do look pretty damn good.

I reckon I should just find a set of 33s and worry about the fitting problems later

i am deffo doing 33s.
so far done2" body and3" sus lift.
all flaps removed, front arch flanges hammerd flat and should just fit now.
but you will need a bit more power and beefed up steering.

only engine mod ive done is cool theintercooler down a bit. i need to remove that and degrease it.
and maybe a remap.
other than that the steering arms can bend so need beefin up

Meh I'll stick with my 32s for a while (since I've just got them, well half of them )

Least all I need on the Trol for 33s or 34s is a 2" susp lift
