My Garage Thread
When we Bought this house 13 years ago the neighbor had walled across a shared drive and built a big drive in the center of his frontage. So after parking in the public car park across the road for 9 years I thought it was time I sorted it out and built my own drive and Garage.
I had to get permission and sort out with the neighbor regarding his half of the 4m width Then it was possible to start work. First thing was to knock down the wall and get a dumper in to move all the earth as it was to be built in to a small bank. |

After marking out the area, my mate Graham came over with his mini digger and started to dig out for the foundations,(Confused looking dog for scale)

just started resurrecting my shed/workshop today. I aint got a digger though.
did a couple of skip trips and dug about a tonne or so out by hand ( well shovel). got a fair way to go. the concrete block compost bit at the end is going I think and I will put a door through to my greenhouse. It will then be made more weather resistant and have a bench or two as a workshop |

I have nothing against manual labor but even the mini digger straggled with the ground.
However there's something reassuring when you live on the edge of a clff that there is nothing under you but ROCK! |
