Default Dual Lens DVR

so i got myself one of these

and took it for a test spin, obvioulsy some setting will need to be adjusted, it doesn't store the videos as video in video you have to do this yourself which is easy enough if you have the right software, anyway heres a sample video of it straight out the box, the rear camera i just gaffa taped to the window just for the test

so then i tweaked the settings a bit and moved the rear camera to a better position

What's the legality of these CCTV camera's? if you have CCTV on a property the law states you must display signs saying that CCTV is in operation or at least did the last time that I'd heard about it.

Also could the recordings be used to incriminate yourself?

These are obviously becoming more popular and the chances are we've all been on the recordings of other drivers and not been aware of it.

You do not have to display CCTV signs. As for these in car camera's.Everyone is allowed to film in a public place.

I've done a Google and it appears for domestic use there is no requirement for warning signs. It's commercial premises that have to display warning signs.
