No! that's one of the best things about living here, crime rate is very low, many people don't lock there cars and some don't bother to take the keys out! and no insurance scams. Driving however is whole different ball game, its not so much a skill as a competitive sport . I think its because there aren't as meany cars on the road , They just assume there won't be anything coming the other way!!!

Another good reason for a DVR
What defence will you have, "yes judge, he flashed his headlight to make me aware of him so I drove out in front of him" GUILTY

If your retired or are minted, it's great. But if you have to earn a living its a nightmare.
the government take approx 42%of your profit in national insurance and then you have to pay tax on whats left.Plus there are then other taxes like Tax Profestional . Its a beautiful country though, and most of the French people are nice.

I have been weary about people flashing their lights for years, so much so, that most almost stop before I venture out a junction or across a road. The other one is pulling out when someone has indicated to turn as they approach you while you wait. I wait until they are turning in, before I move off.

so enlighten me who was prosecuted for what, the camera motor for hitting the car up the arse (no defence car in front stops you did not) so the car that got it up the arse, well he was entitled to stop for what ever reason, and the car that turned off a bit late, shit driving, but if you have your eyes on the road and read ahead this will not happen, Rick

Have to agree car with camera hit him up the arse with stopping distances theory is you shouldn't however in the description it explains that insurance sent video to police as it looked suspect and they uncovered a crash for cash gang or something along those lines

you hit someone up the backside it is your fault, no question, the only exception would be an overtaker that then pulled in front of you and stopped, other than that keep a safe braking distance from the motor in front and read the road I know what the driver in front is going to do before they do and very often the one in front of them, great these Terrano's with the high driving place, not as good as a 32 tonne artic but good enough, Rick
