Default Latest T2

Just got the latest T2 home, it is a 99 Tdi SE touring, paid £421 on Ebay as a none runner, fitted 4 new glow plugs but still would not start on the starter as starter sluggish, quick tug and fired on first compression, sweet as a nut, even when hot starter will not spin it fast enough, sadly it has other minor issues that make it not a top quality motor, no third row seats, dirty carpets body scratches, no radio, gear box rattle, air con inop, tyres worn, but on alloys, just generally untidy, so at the mo undecided, as to scrap it or sort it, will give it a good look over next few days and depending on response on here for spare parts required maybe make a decision later, Rick

Lokka on the front with manual hubs
Diff lock on rear
3 inch SS straight through exhaust
Manly winch bumper with 13000 lb winch
10 spike ground anchor, with multiple straps and blocks
Super strong body cills capped with scaffold pole
20% stronger springs all round
aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

well after putting 3 glow plugs in (all I had) and motor factors want £22 each, they will not get my money, Milners have them for much less, any way still would not start on the starter as it was far too tired, finally changed it today and still with 3 plugs started straight up no probs, the previous owner has made a right F up of repairing the front wings, did not even remove the plastic bits so the rust is coming through already, so still yet to decide if I break it or do it up, problem is it has had underseal slapped all over it underneath so it is not easy to see the rot, think I will put it in for MOT and see what if any it fails on, and go from there, Rick
