Default my ride (D21 Hardbody)

my love affair started when i found this old pick-up not to far from where i live. I fancied a pick-up for work and play. I already had a 4x4 that has been park of our family for nearly 9 years now. I have had a private plate on my Isuzu for years now, When I found this old pick-up, I looked at it with interest then, saw the plate, One letter different from mine. And the car was black. ( we've had a line of black cars so it become a standing joke that we only have black cars) The guy agreed to leave the plate on it. So it had to be. this is how it looked when I bought it home. http://www.dropbox.com/s/y97n1sn19od... 19.30.35b.jpg
Then soon after that i found a scraper with no engine, in Cornwall that had lots of extras on it for £500. So off i went and towed it home on an A frame. When I got it home and tried to push it I realized i had towed it 500 miles or so with the brakes binding. No problem for that little tank. didn't even break in to a sweat. Although juicy. 2.7 turbo with no intercooler yet. http://www.dropbox.com/s/r2s5lwx1n15...1 08.57.48.jpg
then the doner soon looked like this.

And mine now looks like this..

vinyl wrapped the bonnet tinted the windows added wind deflectors all new. then from the doner came the front wings with the arched attached one of mine is now a spare. wheels with 31.10's on all the shiny bits one track rod end. windscreen (that was hard work cutting that out) plus i have a load of spares. Not finished yet. the back went up yesterday. still need new shocks all round bushes for the rear srings will need replacing, and the front has to come up next. I like to make an opening rear window some how. have a couple of ideas some more involved than others. I will post more pictures for any who might be interested in lookin.

Nice Job... Looks very smart.

If only...

I have a WD21, which I am trying to sort out bits and pieces on... Only problem is, body work is not my strong point, and it needs some welding and filling.

I am currently tidying up the front end, and have all the trim off of it, so I can re-spray it where is has faded over the years. I don't suppose you have a spare front bumper, or at least the end caps per chance?

Hi. No sorry. Mine were really bad. I have replaced them with another bumper that is better but far from perfect. You can buy brand new ones from US and cheap but they don't ship to UK. I am going to buy and have delivered to my sister who lives out there and she will send it on. This is when I get around to it of course. I do have some other bits if you need. Just tell me what you need and I'll see if it is any good. Kev
