That to me looks like an older flat rear lamp with some kind of accessory bezel fitted to it.

As far as I'm aware the older and newer light clusters fit in the same hole but not sure if the plug is different or not. I'm sure Ryan 96terrano has mucked about with the different light clusters so he may be able to shed some light on it.

Yup should fit as the holes in the bumper are the same. Same with the upper brake lights as I fitted some from a 05 onto my 93 lol looks the dogs
