Thumbs down ahh crap

Well, let my explain, my terrano is defiantly knackered now, because what's happened is dad has gone behind my back 'again' and used it for towing, without telling me, he knows I don't like him taking my truck from the way he drives it' got up this morning, looked out the window, truck ain't their, ask mum, said you're father has taken it.....I hit the roof as its in no fit state to drive. And he knew this as one of the rad pipes has burst, also, the engine is throwing oil from a undiscovered source. He ofcorce jumps in it, starts it up, gives it a usual red line. And drives off.....ohh Shit. Anyway truck is back, and its chucking out white smoke that smells weird. So whatever he's done, it ain't right. He's just like Pfft, not my problem. Anyone know whet it is? Bastard has probably cooked it.

I'm not trying to moan here just very angry and can't understand why he has it in for me or my possessions.

think his thought is license is out tomorrow, so i cant use it, i'll just pop it

i'm looking to move out as i can't take any more tbh.....and neither can my vehicles

also, what is weird smelling whit smoke?

Default ahh crap

Sounds like head gasket has gone! It's fixable though and being angry wont solve anything, just give you an ulcer!

Ryan, doesn't your Mum know your feelings about your Dad taking with out consent ie would that then be stealing? and could she not have stopped him? OR told you what he was doing.

Pity you didn't inform the so called "theft" to the police.

A secret switch is required to at least disable the starter solenoid or an alarm system that will wake your neighbours too...

Do you require new head bolts on these? or can you use the old ones like on the old land rovers, now those were easy gaskets to replace.

You might as well decoke and grind in the valves too, and maybe replace the valve stem oil seals.
You will also have to adjust the tappets anyway, which ever way you go.

What costs will your Dad pay then?
Gasket set coud be £50+ best guess, new oil, filter, antifreeze, a days work too with the decoke.

Good luck.

best regards,

Rustic

hi mate, i'll answer toure questions 1 by 1

my mum does know how i feel, but doesnt want to get involved with our fights, if she tried to stop dad, she'd get yelled at too

i will be putting in a switch, thatll allow the engine to crank but not fire

problem is, i can't stop my dad, he's bigger than me

as soon as i get my van and am mobile, i think i'll be leaving home tbh,

i couldnt call the police as its registered in his name as i was 15 when i purchased my truck

Hi there,it must be frustrating for you now, but you will have in the future an amazing amount of experience with all what you have done so far in such a short time, don't forget it's you who will be answering all the questions on forums like this,so bite your lip for now and when you get your LDV, kit it out and do your road trip to Eastern block countries into Russia and across the Bearing sea into Alaska and on and on,you only pass this way once....

well, I can honestly say when it comes to dads, I have very bitter experience.

I would tell your dad he had better start respecting you from now on, that includes your feelings and your possessions. If he doesn't, you're going to fall out, and I will be his fault. If he wants to be a stubborn git, then that's HIS problem, not yours.

Go let his tyres down mate.
