Will someone just buy me a Terrano....
because I can't make my mind up! I'm worse than my wife with shoes
I want a 3.0, manual, SVE , this much is certain. I'd quite like green or maroon (or whatever colour that is), something that looks good polished (stop throwing stones at me for blaspheming at the back!) All of a sudden, a few are popping up on autotrader. choices are: 1. Silver, 66k, 03 plate, dvd in headrests, 12 month MOT, but A/C pipe holed at condensor £3000 , private sale west midlands (4 hr train ride) 2. Silver (again) 64k, 04 plate, 9 months MOT, £3.5k, dealer, chigwell, london (1 hr car drive) 3. Maroon 90k, 54 plate, 4 month MOT £4k, dealer, suffolk (2 hr car) 4. Green 85k, 03 plate, 12 month MOT £4k, dealer, peterborough I'd rather give my money to a private seller, but the AC could easily be £500 to fix number 2 could be mine today , 9 month MOT tho, and I can't see the dealer on google maps street view number 3 doesn't have enough MOT, but is maroon. And I work at a garage. (there are MOT's, and MOT's with a wink) number 4 is the bestest colour, but right on my limit of spend, and I don't want to p/x my V70, as its too good for that. My head hurts, I've been up since 6.30 looking and dithering. You wouldn't believe I'm nearly 50..... |

No 1. Because it's got a decent mot, it's could be £2750 for cash offer if you haggle and the mileage seems ok. Aircon is rarely used anyway and you can fix it at your leisure. The problem is when I pick a new motor I go choose my vehicle spec and budget then everything rests on 3 things; condition, condition and condition. Any one of those could be broken, rotten or in some way not as described. If I am considering a vehicle that requires a lot of travel to get to, then I ask the seller to email me pictures of the inside and underside and any particular areas I want. If they don't/can't be arsed then simple, I cross em off my list. |

If this is the silver one. It looks pretty good and the seller has good feedback.

You could see about 3 or 4 in a good day, then with luck you would have found the right one, a quick phone later call buys it.
I assume you have got some good pics, the inportant thing on these trucks is rust in the sills, chassis, front outer wings and inner wings. Easy to spot just a quick look, then you can look at mechanicals, service history, tell tell signs of accident damage like paint overspray on trim panels. Take a blanket and slide under neath, check for oil leaks etc, rock the car side to side, any clunks will be either the ARB links or upper or lowerball joints, cheap to replace BUT a good negotiating starting point. If a dealer, you could insist on a Free MOT and service prior to collection. How exciting... Good luck, best regards, Rustic

mine 12 year old. no rust or at least ive yet to find it
im with stinka 2.7 all the way 3ltr parts are a lot more expencive |
