A couple of pics at Piccadilly wood today
Well what a site, very different to Boxgrove or Slindon, it is a large hilly wood that people have carved tracks, means that once on a track there are often no option but to continue and an easy track just round the corner can change into a very muddy problem and the mud is thick clingy stuff, this pic is where I got well in and took all of 1 and a half hours to extract partly due to nothing much to put the winch line onto and the fact that NSF welded hub became unwelded so only 3 wheel drive

Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare. |

One of the few items to winch to, after I got out of this the OSF hub failed so got up the steep climb to the tea hut with 3 wheel drive and started to change it for an auto but wheel bearing full of mud so day ended at 3 pm, I will be going next month but will be looking at a ground anchor of some sort, Rick

Nice idea, but serious body mods first, like reciprocating saw and angle grinder, but as long as I have a seat what the hell, gonna be having the fuel tank off before the next meet a Slindon as it grounds out a lot, Rick

you are not wrong, they have at least two big wheel farm tractors for recovery, this is a serious site, last year they were getting stuck in the car park for f s, oh and they have big hydraulic spades on the back with winches !!!!!!! Rick
