Default help please?????

hi all have posted in technical part but no replies

basically my 1994 2.7td maverick was reading half a tank and yesterday I went and started her and now she reading full tank and fuel light is on ?????



been told fuel sender???? is this it ??


if so whats the spare plug for???? and is it easy to change????

how much am I looking at and where can I get one?

last of all anyone in the somerset area fancy lending a hand to get her sorted cant offer much in return apart from tea coffee and bacon sarnies!

Try pulling the plug off see if guage goes down you could have short somewhere.Have some terranos im breaking will see what they are like.Be very carefull undoing those screws they often snap off.

pulled plug off and cleaned all connectors but fuel gauge didn't move and its still the same???

Ill have a look at what ive got.I would guess the other unused connector is for fuel pump on petrol model with pump in tank.Where abouts in somerset are you

Had a similar problem when I had my s3 landy turned out to be an eart fault.

I think the earths for that are back in the engine bay off the loom to the engine block - but I could be wrong-just clean all of them. Theres two from the wing to the engine block (both near and under the coolant bottle) and another two small ones from the loom to the top of the block above the dip stick (think these are actually for the pedals etc)
