Default Veg oil

Hi all, was thinking about running my terrano 2.7 dti 2004 on veg oil which is for sale in farmfoods. Just wanted to ask if I need to mix it with diesel and if so at what ratio Also is it legal and can it harm the car in anyway. Which oil is the best to use. Thanks. John

Ive been using the Farmfoods oil for a while now with no issues. You may need to change the fuel filter a couple of times as it seems to clog at first but then its fine after that. Some people like to mix it at a ratio of 40L veg oil to 7L petrol in cold weather but at the moment im running mine on the oil without mixing and its fine now that its warming up outside. It is completely legal to do it but you are supposed to declare it after 2500 liters so you can give your hard earned cash to the tax man

Hope this helps

Cool, Thanks for that, would the car run better if I did put the diesel in with it even tho the weather is warmer and also do you mind me asking what year your terrano is as someone told me the td and dti engine is different. crew

i have never had to change a fuel filter because of veg oil! I have heard that said about bio diesel but not veg oil!

Just buy some and bung it in

Make sure you download and take your 10% discount voucher for farmfoods with you.

Clicky >> http://www.farmfoods.co.uk/includes/...g/Vouchers.pdf

I am currently running 80/20 on farmfoods veg with no petrol as the weather is warmer.

Just pour it in and crack on lad.
