Default Wanted.....12 v auxiliary socket

Anybody got one of these or know where I can get one (apart from Nissan). It needs to fit a 40mm aperture. I am trying some breakers too.

is this the sort of socket that takes the same plugs as a cigarette lighter socket? I have never seem any as big as 40mm, they are only normally 28 to 30mm or so.

Maplins do these which I used in the rear of my T2.

yes, thanks for that Lazy Ferret. Just re measured the aperture and it is definitely 40mm. My socket looks like someone has taken a wrecking bar to it.......

I just found your post on the other thread, I do not have those socket on my car, so not seen those ones.

There is a guy on here called CNCFABS, who is very helpful if you PM him. He is away at the moment, but from his reply to me, should be back around next week, so might be worth giving him a shout.

My Terrano has 2 auxiliary 12v sockets fitted as standard, one of which has been mullered. :'(

i got my sockets of ebay as i wanted some to put on the outside if my caravan to plug in solar panels in.they worked well and are water proof to.
i think they are sold as motor cycle plugs.
the oblong front plate will cover a large area so should do what you want it to.
