Uncle Silvia's Terrano II - From the beginning!!
Hi all
Well I have introduced myself in the "im new here" bit, so I thought Ide start a Picture/Mods/Repair/Build thread about everything I do to my truck since I purchased it in Jan! Well this is my 1996 150k £800 Terrano II SE Touring just as I bought it.............. And I couldnt help getting a little arty all be it at IPhone quality lol.......... Well the first mod was to Change the crappy and badly fitted CD player for a better one. Its now got a JVC CD/iPod unit fitted that I took out of a car im selling. It will do until I upgrade again to a Pioneer unit which are my personal favorites. No pics of that..... but its just a stereo lol. Next was to replace the leaking clutch slave cylinder and hose........... Pretty easy fix once I got hold of the parts (Euro Car Parts... I got them to put the hose on their system so should now be easy to get hold of.) Well this week Devon got a sprinkling of snow so it would be rude to not go for a play and get some photos wouldnt it First sighting of snow Me being silly lol My first rough bit Found more snow Me again lol Found a bigger hill Icy roads....... No Problem!! Going exploring........ Thats it for now........ more soon |

Most of the snow was between Postbridge and Mortenhampstead! Many of the pics were around the Fernworthy Resivoir area where there were a few short farm tracks to play on! It's a shame you can't just go off road anywhere due to it being a national park!

UPDATE:
Well I got round to getting some more bits done to the T2 yesterday. I got the front tortion bars adjusted to raise the front end up to match the rear.... Easy 15 minute job. Then I got the wheel alignment done (however they found a fair bit of play in the front bushes so couldnt get it 100% accurate.......... ill add fixing them to the list lol) Heres the before and after..................... It actually looks like its slightly nose high now, but ill be looking into raising the rear another inch anyway so ill re-adjust the front again to suit. I did measure 34" from floor to the middle of the arch, all round..... not sure if the arches are the same size front and rear though lol. Well anyway, I also visited my mate where he works/lives and its such a cool place for photos I couldnt resist again........... you can see why ............. (Sorry about iPhone quality) Views over Plymouth......... Thats it for now |
