For all the Windows 7 experts
Clock on my PC has developed a mind of it's own, when I look away for a few minutes it changes to 23/11 and not 23/08 as it should be. I have checked time zone settings and they're ok, have tried synchronising with pool.ntp.org to no avail. It seems to be random, no virus or malware, new (3) cmos batteries, internet seems to think anything from dud cmos battery to screwed up motherboard, so a bit like Haynes manuals. Can't find a fix on Microsoft site. I know I can reset it manually but it is a pain as it was ticking along very nicely.
Hardware, HP XW8200 Workstation, 4gig ram, 1.5 Terabyte HDD, Nvidia 9800GTX video card, Intel Xeon CPU 3.4GHz (2 processors),Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Thanks guys and girls. |

Best of luck, I've had a belly full of Win 7 crap all day. Give me XP any day of the week.

im starting to agree. I'll concede the 64 bit runs quickly on my laptop (2.4ghz processor + 4 gig ram) BUT so many apps are still 32 bit anyway and i cant find all the settings and what have you that we've been accustomed to since the heady days of win95

Porn Seriously, sold the old system, put €50 along with the cash I got for it , so why not? Cost me €200 including a 19" flat screen. Great to have family working in IT in our national TV station and another brother working for Avid, who do HP Workstations. Avis have just shipped €5 million worth of IT to Kazakhstan or somewhere like that. I usually change after our General Elections as the national broadcaster lease loads of PCs and then have no need when the elections are over, so lease company sells them off cheap to staff at the TV station, usually pretty decent spec too. This one came from Avid who sell off units to staff and is probably the best spec I've had to date, so I'll probably keep it for a few years. So now tell me how to fix the damn time, please

As I said to Paul earlier, I only have it cos it was cheap as chips, I'll never push it to the limit. |

And by the miracle that is Windows 7, just got up this morning and it was 21/11/2011 and somehow it is now 24/08/2011 with correct time. So I'm after going back in time, Back to the Future eat your heart out. Time travel is dead easy. Now if I can just go back to when I had money and a beautiful young wife

On a slightly different topic, I need a 17" screen for a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 3667G. Must be cheap or free as a new one costs about €180 . Alternatively is someone is looking for something to use with Memory Maps and doesn't need a working screen, make me an offer. Currently running Windows XP 32 bit.
Technical specs for Fujitsu Siemens AMILO A 3667G
