wedding venue
watching "big fat gypsy wedding" on ch4 and was thinking if you had a largish parcel land or hotel, and seing how these families are strugling to get a venue,if you were gypsy freindly venue youd never be short of buisness and doing gypsys a big favour and your guaranteed buisness so profits!

4+1 its on now, plenty of footage from apleby and the trip down in covered wagon, one drawback i could see for the venue would be the planning protests if it got out it was going to cater for gypsy/traveler,if you had to declare such a thing to planning!

dont see why would have to state intended customers, just not barr anyone based on
personal biggotory. cant believe anyone would want their daughter on her biggest day of her life to have to go thru the shit some of the so called publican and licencees put their customer base thru, wonder if they find out a family are just house dwelling chavs, and plenty of those about, if they get barred. kin hell the place is insured, and its not like the men are tea total is it, put plenty thru the bar tills.

exactly if you made it known you were gypsy/traveler freindly,im sure any dammage would be more than covered,i cant see anymore dammage being caused by travelin folk than normal wedding guests.
the mere fact you are gypsy/traveler freindly and wont snatch the big day away from thems gotta make them more apreciative and want to look after place more. |

yes i gues youd have to mke it open to all to keep your venue lisence etc,but advertising ing in traveler press and making it known that being traveler freindly is going to put the venue way up on peoples to moan about list,so even higher behavoiral standards would be apreciated to gain public aproval, maybe little hearts and minds propaganda wouldnt go a miss lol and a sucessfull venue for all concerned.
jobs for local people, extra trade for local buisnesess, bar provided by local publican all very profitable for local area could help change atitudes! |
