Have a ball with Jim
Have a look at Jims signature, looks like a good do, and an excellent cause.
We're trying to arrange to get there, anyone else up for it??? Could be a rather good piss up |

Cheers guy's for the support, I understand it's a bit far and even a bit costly but your support is appreciated just the same.
As you probably know it's a cause that is close to me so I'll be involved in some more events this year. All being well there will be a Canal Boat Pull along the whole 127 miles of the Leeds Liverpool Canal 30th May to 5th June. I'll be shamelessly emptying everyones wallets for this event Thanks Jim |

"D-Day"
Well everyone the big day is upon me and the rest of the organisers. The generosity of local people and businesses has been amazing. We have some cracking items to raffle and auction. For me one of the star item is a signed limited edition print of all the 2011 Red Arrows, this was donated last week by the Red's who were still training in Cyprus (ok not so local). A local business has mounted and framed it for us FOC. There's a holiday donated by Jet2 with parking at Leeds Bradford Airport with departure via the VIP Lounge. Also a flight in a vintage Tigermoth and much more. I've got a stack of Help For Heroes goodies to sell on a table too. The star guest's of tonight have got to be three members of the Band of Brother's (google em not music).
Drop me a PM if you wish to donate or better still if you wish to come at this late stage we still have a handfull of tickets. Jim |

Just a quick update. We have not got our final figures in for this event but we have raised several thousand pounds for Help For Heroes last night. We had a great night and the venue was stunning.
I had one of the most humbling experiences that I have ever known. We had 3 of the "Band Of Brothers" as VIP guests, Ben Parkinson, Simon Brown and Darren Stevens. They all got up and gave a speech, Ben had been practising for two weeks. They brought a lump to my throat and there were tears shed around the room. Please google these names if you have not heard of them, they are an inspiration. I was truly humbled by these true gentlemen. I spoke to each one of these "Heroes" and they are cracking blokes. We had a mini Casino at the event and as soon as the casino openned they raced there to play, Ben played for ages and suspect he would of still been there playing Black Jack if he could of done so. Last night has made me more determined to carry on raising money for this charity, so from time to time as we have events I will post again to empty everyones wallets. Please feel free to drop me a PM if your interested. I have a stock of Help For Heroes goodies to sell, from Wristbands to T-shirts. Jim |
