Real-Life Miles Per Gallon
To work out what MPG you are really getting, please provide the cost of the fuel, how much you spent on the fuel, and how far it took you. For example, the cost of the fuel could be 96.9, the amount could be 10 pounds, and the distance covered could be 80 miles.

Fuel Cost pence/Litre
Total Spend pounds
Distance miles

Your real-world MPG average is 31.23, covering 213 miles using 6.82 gallons of fuel.

That's a good calculator. I've added it to my favourites list.

Thanks

Being sad I regularly check my mpg Usually get 30/31 mpg on work journey each day (approx 55 mile round trip, A roads and commuter traffic..7am out and 5pm back) and about 28 around town (short journeys).... Is a manual 2.7tdi and I do drive like an old bugger!

bit of a dimwit calculator.....you just divide mileage by litres used, then multiply by 4.542 for mpg.

Oh and then multiply by 0.9 to get actual cos of your speedo over-read
